Hozzunk együtt törvényeket a természetért!
A Hozzunk együtt törvényeket a természetért!-nevű projekt véget ért, az első olyan projekt volt, ami a Képviselőház természetvédelmet érintő munkásságának monitorozását tűzte ki céljául.A projekt kedvezményezettje a Natura2000 Koalíció, és a projekt megvalósításában az alábbi szervezetek voltak partnerek: Propark-Alapítvány a Védett Területekért (Propark -Fundația pentru Arii Protejate), a Román Akadémiai Társaság (Societatea Academică Română, SAR) és a Román Madártani Egyesület (Societatea Ornitologică Română), a projekt Svájci Hozzájárulás támogatásban részesült (egy olyan szélesebb körű svájci támogatás része, amely a 2004 óta csatlakozott 13 EU tagállam számára elérhető) 2016 áprilisa és 2017 márciusa között, a támogatás összege 65.816,00 svájci frank, ebből 59.216,00 svájci frank vissza nem térítendő támogatás.

Már másodszor gyújtogattak Hans Hedrich segesvári zöld aktivistánál
Április harmadikán ismeretlen tettesek felgyújtották Hans Hedrich zöld aktivista magánházának kerítését. A tettesek ez alkalommal is üzemanyaggal átitatott rongyokat használtak. Ez már a második gyújtogatás, január 24-én éjszaka Hans autóját gyújtották fel, a kölcsönkért autót végül adományokból sikerült megjavíttatni.

Néhány hónappal azután, hogy a környezetvédő aktivista autóját is lángra lobbantották.
Felgyújtották keddre virradóra Hans Hedrich jogvédőként is ismert környezetvédelmi aktivista segesvári házának kerítését.
Erről Hedrich Facebook-oldalán maga tájékoztatta a nyilvánosságot, közölve: a tűzoltóknak sikerült eloltaniuk a tüzet, ezt követően pedig bűnügyi helyszínelés kezdődött.
A szándékos gyújtogatás egyértelmű, mivel ugyanazt a módszert alkalmazták, mint két hónapja, amikor az aktivista autóját gyújtották fel: gyúlékony anyaggal átitatott rongydarabokat aggattak a kerítésre, többek között a földgáz-vezetékre is, minden bizonnyal azzal a szándékkal, hogy robbanást idézzenek elő.

50 000 lejre büntették a cekendi kólagyárat
Válaszuk első feléből kiderül, nem csak a marosiak, kolozsiak, aradiak, máramarosiak, szebeniek, oltyánok, muntyánok, rutének és lipovánok szemetét gyűjtjük itt a város fölötti dombon, hanem az osztrákok mocskát is. Kösz, Gerald, hogy minket választottál! Schweighofer rétyi telepének erőművéből is ide jön a hamu és a salak, aminek egy részét egy nedves gödör feltöltésére és a raktár melletti rész kiegyengetésére használták február 27-én, írják a válaszban.

The Forest Inspector application has been delayed and amputated
Information about wood traceability has become secretive. Currently the public can only see wood lorries from the past 72 hours and they cannot be linked to the logging area.
The result?
Wood mafia may keep stealing wood with fake papers, use log yards as laundry machine for illegal wood and public has no chance to know about traceability and engage in the combat of illegal logging.
The Governmental Decision for increased transparency and traceability was supposed to come into force last week but it has now been postponed till October 21st 2017.
Agent Green on the Forest Ministry and Romanian Government to return public access to data that it recently removed. We further call on the Ministry to move forward by making additional information available to the public, thus completing the chain of forest harvest and transport information: (this section still to be revised):
1. Link forest transports to management plans by adding the relevant APV number.
2. Ensure full documentation for public and private forests, namely, the cutting method, volumes, and species of wood permitted to be harvested, and the GPS boundaries of the permitted area.
3. Include additional background layers into the dataset, to highlight particular Natura 2000 sites, nature reserves and monuments, nature and national parks.

The Romanian Government has not spent 580.000 euro allocated for mapping its last primary forests.
The result?
The last primary forests are being cut as we speak by initiative of their owners and with the passive clearance from the Govenrmental Forest Gurads that should prevent such crimes.
For example, the photo in this Facebook posting was taken in Tarcu mountains at Bucova where, according to the official data, 972 ha of primary forests existed just a few years ago.
Trucks fully loaded with huge ancient trees are leaving from here each day with the consent of the Forest Guard even if the law forbidden this since 2012.
Agent Green calls on the Forest Ministry (MAP) to:
- spend the available funds (580.000 euros) to buy the latest high resolution satellite maps and urgently make a national level study to learn what is lost and what still can be saved
- establish moratorium on all logging of areas that might still shelter primary forests
- put the Forest Guards at work and take strong measures against those Guards that closes they eyes where destruction of primary forests takes place even if they have full access to data of what is happening in real time

A Holzindustrie Schweighofer újra megszerezné az FSC tanúsítványt, az első tárgyalás a Holzindustrie képviselői és az FSC képviselői között május harmadikán zajlott. Jelen voltak még a barkácsáruházak képviselői és civil szervezetek képviselői. A de-clic petícióoldal tüntetést szervezett az eseménynek otthont adott hotel elé, tiltakoztak a tárgyalások újrakezdése ellen.
Az Agent Green sincs elragadtatva az ötlettől, hosszú nyílt levelet írtak, az angol nyelvű összefoglaló alább olvasható:
"The reassociation between FSC and Holzindustrie Schweighofer is premature and inadequate. The process should be discussed only after the official investigation of the Romanian prosecutors about the company's organized criminal activities will be finished.

The NGO calls on other private forest owners to preserve their paradise forests too.
Following 10 years of interrupted discussions between Holzindustrie Schweighofer and Gabriel Paun, founder of Agent Green, the Austrian company decided to carry out a study in order to re evaluate its own forests. And where there is strong scientifically proofed evidence that forests are either old growth or primary, to permanently stop any forestry work there to preserve flora and fauna.

Holzindustrie Schweighofer owns 14.666 ha of forests in Hunedoara, Gorj, Valcea, Prahova, Buzau, Vrancea, Neamt and Suceava counties. All forests will be assessed by experts proposed by Agent Green in the next months. Where primary and old growth forests will be identified a study will be made for each of them as a base to make an addendum to the existing forestry management plan accordingly.

HORNBACH - LIES ON SHELVES
Many investigations [1] proved that Holzindustrie Schweighofer processes illegally logged wood. Therefore already last year de-clic community launched a campaign to put pressure on hardware stores to stop selling their products. The petition, initiated by Hans Hendrich, has 26,000 signatories so far.
At the beginning of the year, as a result of these disorders, the companies held by Gerald Schweighofer were disassociated [2] by Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), an international organisation promoting responsible forest management. The Austrians lost thus the sustainable forestry certification.
Hornbach, Leroy Merlin and Brico Depot have publicly stated they would discontinue their cooperation with the Austrians. However our investigation has shown that things are not really so.

A tűzifa az új olaj a keleti határ mentén
Ellehetetleníti a becsületes kereskedők életét az illegális tűzifa-kereskedelem a magyar–román határ mentén – tárta fel a Hír TV Panaszkönyv című fogyasztóvédelmi műsora. A feketézők a hatósági rendszert kijátszva árasztják el a környéket olcsó fával, amely után sem az áfát, sem az adókat nem fizetik be.

A Hornbach ahelyett, hogy bocsánatot kért volna, továbbra is hazudik
Alex Găvan Az FSC visszavonta Schweighofernek azt a tanúsítványát, ami szerint a cég felelős és fenntartható erdőgazdálkodásból szerzi be a faanyagot. A Hornbach, ami az egyik legnagyobb barkácsáruház Romániában (a Dedeman, Arabesque, Brico Depot és Leroy Merlin mellett) elsőként adott ki sajtóközleményt decemberben, amiben bejelentették, hogy nem vásárolnak Schweighofertől és olyan gyártókat keresnek, akik etikus módon üzletelnek. Akkor azt mondtam, hogy becsületes emberek és le a kalapokkal előttük. Egyik nap a Hornbachba mentem, itt van a közelben, vadvirágmagot kerestem és a faosztályra is eljutottam. A polcokon meg Schweighofer termékeket láttam. Hoppá! Felhívtam a de-clic csapatát és elmondtam nekik. Ők azt mondták, hogy kezdjek oknyomozásba.

Greenpeace: nagyot csökkent tavaly az erdészeti bűncselekmények száma
A nemzetközi zöld szervezet adatai szerint 2016-ban összesen 9 444 törvénytelen fakivágásos eset történt Romániában, ezek közül 5 222 minősült bűncselekménynek. A Greenpeace örvendetesnek nevezte, hogy az erdészeti bűncselekmények száma 47 százalékkal csökkent 2015-höz képest. Ez a szervezet elsősorban törvények szigorításával magyarázza.
Átlagban napi huszonhat illegális fakivágási esetre bukkannak a hatóságok országszerte, egy kimutatás szerint pedig a legtöbb bűncselekményt tavaly Maros megyében azonosították. Mentségül szólhat, ez nem azt jelenti, hogy ott lopták a legtöbb fát, hanem hogy a legtöbb esetben Maros megyében próbáltak meg törvénytelen jövedelemhez jutni.

Csökkent az illegális fakitermelés Romániában
A Greenpeace közzétette a 2015-2016-os évre szóló, erdők kivágásával kapcsolatos adatokat, amelyekből az derül ki, hogy még mindig riasztóan magas az illegális fakitermelések aránya. 2016-ban 9.444 ilyen esetet regisztráltak, amelyből 5.222 alkalommal büntetőjogi eljárást is indítottak a hatóságok. Ez átlagban napi 26 esetet jelent. Bármennyire riasztóak is ezek a számok, a 2015-ös évhez képest ez 47 százalékos csökkenést jelent. Ez a csökkenés elsősorban a szigorúbb törvénykezésnek tudható be, ugyanis megnövelték a pénzbírságok és a kiszabható szabadságvesztéssel járó büntetések mértékét.

Leaked EU-Japan Trade Agreement Would Increase Illegal Logging
WASHINGTON, DC – Draft documents published today set the terms for a new trade agreement between the European Union (EU) and Japan (JEFTA) that, in its current form, would likely result in increased illegal logging and timber smuggling, including within Europe’s last remaining virgin forests. The documents, posted to the website trade-leaks.org by Greenpeace, indicate the JEFTA could be the EU’s biggest ever trade deal, covering a trade volume twice as large as the recent EU-Canada deal, known as CETA. An expert report commissioned by the European Commission (EC) warns about JEFTA’s adverse impacts on forests.

Greenpeace Netherlands has released 205 pages of previously undisclosed chapters from secret talks for an EU-Japan trade agreement (known as JEFTA). Greater public access to JEFTA negotiating documents is good for democracy and will enable more balanced and transparent public participation by experts, politicians, civil society and the media. The European Commission has itself frequently highlighted the importance of democratic principles and transparency.

JEFTA negotiations were officially launched on 25 March 2013 and the EU Commission expects to conclude them in 2017. The leaked documents are dated between January 2016 and January 2017. The original trade mandate from July 2012 has also been published online. The original documents have been retyped to protect our sources.

Whether you care about environmental issues, animal welfare, labour rights or internet privacy, you should be concerned about what is in these leaked documents. They underline the strong objections civil society and millions of people around the world have voiced: JEFTA is once again about a huge transfer of power from people to big business.

We map them by daylight and sleep in them by night. Thanks to people's donations and further support from Tentsile, we managed to kick off the mapping of the last primary forests from Baraolt mountains located in Transylvania. This forest created by mother nature about 6000 years ago after the last ice age is protecting the only spring of drinking water in the area. This forest is home of brown bears, grey wolves and lynx and is made of sycamore trees, beech, fir, spruce, ash tree and sessile oak. We promise not to disturb this paradise and leave no other trace except the paper work that needs to be done to register the forest in the official National Catalog of the last Primary Forests. We all sleep in tents made by Tentsile, a tree tent company committed to saving trees around the world. Tentsile supports tree planting projects in 3 continents and work with organisations around the world to help prevent illegal logging and deforestation. The aim is to inspire others to love the magic of the forest and through a deeper understanding of this environment, encourage others to walk more lightly upon the earth.

Forest Alert: Romanian Ministry Attacks Own Primary Forest Protection Laws
Anti conservation forces in Ministry utilise Governmental interregnum to shoot at forest protection legislation
Bucharest / Radolfzell, 28 June 2017 – The Romanian Ministry for Water and Forests surprisingly neglects the existence of its 2005 published inventory on primary forest areas in the country and announces to challenge its own legislation on virgin forest protection. This move happened earlier this week, a few days after the Romanian Governmental was dismissed by Parliament and during the absence of a Minister in charge. Crucial parts of Romanian forest protection legislation are based upon the so-called Romanian-Dutch “Pin-Matra”-study, which identified 218.000 ha primary forests in the country. The Ministerial statement from Monday night says, that neither forest authorities nor state forestry Romsilva have that document. Romsilva was a partner of the project and received significant funding.
